Hey all,
So I built a new stand for the lathe I purchased not to long ago. I have a question though. I still need to mount the countershaft and motor. I have seen the small piece that is supposed to bolt o the factory legs but I don't have one l. Was wondering if anyone could provide a few examples of their countershaft/motor assembly ? And maybe some dimensions or theory behind the mounting. I have not seen many pictures or diagrams of the connections in my searches.

This is a slightly bigger motor that what was stock on the lathe it looks like. The capacitor on the motor is mounted on the top which runs into horizontal countershft mount, looks like there is an extension on the motor to account for this..so I will take the diagrams and see if I can make it work...

So got some more cross bracing welded in place. The stand is now rock solid..now trying to get the countershft and motor mounted...since this motor is much larger than original with that capacitor on the top it will be am interesting mounting..let me know what u think... Or if I am overlooking something in my mock up. The motor base seems to have an additional hinge that maybe allowed it to hang to put tension on the belt...Maybe?
