Another person asking "What should I buy for a milling machine"

I like your idea, but that is going to be beyond my price range.
Most posts suggest just going with a manual mill.

I am planning to go with fairly high end components, so it can be done cheaper. It also can be done gradually. say you first upgrade to ball screws and still use the machine manually, then install the motor drives but use them with simple controlls as a power feed, then eventually add the full CNC control. Shop around a bit, when the right machine comes along you'll know it.
