Got it apart except the spindle it seems ok , I replaced the electric cord to run the motor it started rite up sounded good for a while then started to kinda howell I’ll prob bring it to a motor shop and have them check it out,
but it is a Howell motor I don’t think it should howell. I’ll fix the arc of shame with JB weld unless someone knows a better way ? . It’ll get cleaned up and painted, thinking of filling the collom with cement for stiffness what u think ? .
that’s it for now.
If you have some grinding chips mix them up in the epoxy it be more realistic then old gray epoxy. Looks like it may be the bottom pulley causing the howling, it's about wore thru. Epoxy it will help that too. Oh I'd add a counterweight in the column with a pulley and sash chain hooked to the table to help adjust it easier. Ck Mr Pete on YouTube easy to do.
It’s still going to take some pulling /prying off the motor shaft , it isn’t going to fall off.
I don’t want to damage the pulley or motor, anyone try a little heat ?
