A locking blade pocket knife I made

I'm glad you all enjoyed the knife. I am designing a pocket knife with a PMVII powdered metal blade. It will be sold and manufactured by Veritas. Even after I get the prototype made,it will take some time to get into their catalog. I have pine of their powdered metal plane blades in a block plane. Wonderful steel!! I'll let you know when it is in their catalog, and post pictures.

That is an amazing knife. Do you have any photos of the locking mechanism?

That's a beautiful blade you've created, and just that much nicer that you made it for a friend. Cheers, Mike

...trophy ivory legally. It is ridiculously expensive.

Just a comment on Ivory
: You can still legally purchase 'Mammoth' Ivory on line and elsewhere. I use it for some of the scrimshaw projects I do (e.g. knife grips, gun grips, jewelry, etc.) Sometimes expensive but often knife scales or pieces large enough to do knife scales are not too 'dear'. Often, if it fits the project, I use smaller bits laminated together to make the scales or other Gee-Gaws.

Then too, there is Tagua nut, sliced and laminated it is a viable alternative to ivory for many projects. (jewelry, inlays etc.)
