Looking circa 1990 - 2000, Colchester Student 2500, Harrison M300, 13x40 size preferred. 575v 3ph, 240v 3ph are fine

Who has a nice vintage 1990-2000 lathe in good condition they need to be rid of. Let me know please so we can discuss it.

Thanks Craig, but that's too small and too rough condition. We just sold a 12x37 lathe this would not be a step up in weight or length.

There is another exact same lathe listed in Toronto for $4500 with a DRO, its too small too but the condition is not too bad.

Our budget is much higher than that, we want quality versus low price.

14" x 60" fit the bill ? 13" x 40" ? :dunno:

In the title you say 14" , and then say 13" . I have both . I'll send either up with the son this weekend . :big grin: Or BOTH !

I thought you just purchased a Chipmaster ?

the max length lathe we can fit is 40" between centers. 60" lathe would mean losing a bridgeport mill. Not gonna happen

I'd personally like a 13x40 for the slightly less weight I'd need to move.... 14x40 should be fine tho

The Chipmaster is my new dream lathe project for MY garage, that had to be temporarily assigned to my brother's garage. He needs to find the replacement for our jointly owned lathe that we just sold in order to bid in a 13x40 lathe.

Musical lathes can be hard to follow.

BTW what's the 13 that you have?

OF course if you sent your son with a lathe, you'd have to send up a few bushels of crabs... and you'd need to hurry because the season ends in 10 days!

I have a 13" listed below . Not sure how it would be to get it across the border , let alone a few bushels of crabs . The crabs would be more than the lathe these days ! The garage is closed up for the year as far as machinery . It'll be around next year when it warms up . We have fair weather machinists down here in the states ! :D

PM ed who ?
