Woodworking style aluminum boxes

I picked up an indicator set in a custom aluminum box, but it was carved out of a block. One of these days with enough shop time I'd love to use tounge and grove type corner joints to build some boxes myself. I'm not sure if an interference fit alone would work or if it would have to be pinned. Maybe gorilla glue would be a good alternative to pins.
