Who are the Rolls Royce of the manual machine world?

I see little or no reason to start a thread about the F 150 of lathes. Just go to Harbor Freight or Vevor and you will have the answer.

How do you know that?
Because I bought a brand new
C-5 Corvette Convertible in 1998 and it only had 56,000 miles on it when I gave it to my brother in 2018.

I have no idea how that relates to this thread.
The OP was asking for the Rolls Royce equivalent of a manual machines. He didn't ask how to make money or about a middle of the road lathe.
