Where do I get more of these?

I inherited this from my Uncle with a bunch of other machining related stuff. I use it all-the-time to stabilize pieces when I’m milling. I probably could make more, but want a few different sizes and if they’re not that expensive would like to buy a set. This one only goes down to 1.25”. I’ve tried to find and look up expandable wedges and other permutations of what it could be but nothing comes up. Does it have an “ official machining/tool name?
Thanks

They're called adjustable parallels. But adjustable parallels aren't really used for milling setups to support the work piece although some people do for light machining. I only use adjustable parallels for measuring.

Thanks, looked at those and these seem like a different animal, not what I would consider precise enough for measurements

I agree with dark zero, adjustable parallels, but not really for milling setups as a support. Machinist jacks would be the more traditional tool for that type of work. You have an example and a mill, maybe make some?

Those look shop made. Shouldn't be hard to just make your own. I could be wrong but I've never seen ones for sale like yours, only adjustable parallels.

I agree with GL, machinist's jacks are more commonly used for work setups.

Ok, but all of the parallels I can find are 3/8” wide or less these are over 1” wide x 1.25”. I have Machinist jacks but nothing that cranks down to 1” or less. I use these for gunsmithing to support receivers internally and they work well, and the price was righ, they’re very stout, and could probably spread some pretty thick steel. Guess home manufacturing is the answer.

Yes, that’s more like it, wouldn’t have thought of leveler. That one looks like it’s been recovered off the titanic!
thanks

Thanks guys, they could be shop-made, my Uncle was a pretty resourceful guy in the shop

What was shown is a leveling jack for machine tool leveling. What was shown at the beginning of this post is not a common measuring or setup item. It is something homemade for a specific purpose.
