When should I thread, when should I use a die?

Very cool. So it does a set pitch and TPI over a wide range of diameters. Obviously a tool best for production work as it doesn't look cheap.

What's the difference between the geometric and the rubometric?

Thanks,

M

My guess is it is like a powered pipe threader in which the jaws adjust for various diameters but all have the same thread pitch.
