What's Wrong With This Picture?

Reminds me of this old gem. It illustrates the magic of manufacturing and the incredible value you can get if you want something that is needed enough to justify the millions of dollars required to set up a manufacturing line.

Have had this toaster for 40 some years. Got it from my mom, and not sure how long she had it. Never misses a beat, and have never had to fix it. I do empty the crumbs out of it maybe once a month. Mike

No way!

We just got this one from my sister & BIL. It was left behind in a house they bought. Looks just like the one my grandmother had.

Just had some fresh bread hit. Oat and Molasses, kind like a Maritime bread that my grandfather used to make. I really have to get the toaster fixed! The male prongs are worn right down and I should make new ones. No timer on this one, so not a set and forget!

My toaster was my parents. They got it in 1959 for a wedding gift. It is still going strong. Unfortunatly my percolator bit the dust earlier this year.

Cutting oil is my blood.

Those look like twins to mine. Only difference is the pattern on the cloth covered cords. Back when we made really good things at reasonable prices. You won't find chrome like that on anything made today. Mike
