After 35yrs of machining it still amazes me how much stress there is in peices of stock.
Specialy those that you take a long cut out of and make yourself a banana. Sometimes
it is fun to show that to a youngster that is interisted in machineing. You can realy get
there interist going when you tell them about it and they say "No Way you are pull'in
one on me" Then you show them the life that hides in that bar of unbendable steel.
Then you weld a bead down the back side and it goes back the other way. LOL
Chances are you just sparked there interist for life.
