It all depends on if they have setup instructions and specifications to begin with. Usually preload settings are done on the benchtop, the protocol's specifics may or may not include oiling, but are usually done dry with that factor built in to the specified starting torque value.
In the absence of a specification and test setup instructions, you're probably going to be best served by trying to put it back as found.
