What is the current thought on Tree 2UVR mills?

All good points every one.
So don’t get me wrong, I’d be thrilled with a good Bridgeport or even a good quality/shape clone.
I’m not in a hurry. Slow burn.
I just came across a couple trees and they seem like a real good option and honesty ‘about’ the same price range.
I have also realized tooling can definitely make the deal. Starting with almost nothing… I’m definitely hoping for a well tooled machine whatever I run into.
Space isn’t really an issue for me. I don’t have much millwright/moving experience so I do wonder if the much heavier Tree might be too much for me…

The important this is that I DID get out into the garage/shop and turn some stewl on my little Atlas 618 tonight!!! Really felt good

Tree mills are first rate as pointed out above.

Tooling is a very nice thing to get but first consideration should be condition IMHO. It won't do a darn bit of good to have a whole bunch of tooling with a worn out machine since you'll need to buy another machine to refurb the one you bought in the first place.

If you know you want a tool it makes sense to buy when the opportunity is there. If the mill you're looking at is in good shape and the price is right then don't hesitate, moving it will be an adventure but we're all here to help (virtually or maybe even physically if you ask).
