What is a pressure snubber ?

They're also used on the exhaust port (pneumatic) of a solenoid to slow the movement of a valve.

I'm going to assume this a flow control valve . Never heard of them called snubbers .

Often just it’s an orifice or a fitting with a sintered filter like filling to dampen pressure changes. I heard the term used on orifices installed on cylinders to slow them down in hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
