Scrap price for(2.50lb) 12" x 1 7/8" 4340 raw bar stock, I have no Idea what to use it for, but I have it. When I got my drive shaft made at Mark Williams, I got the axle drops non heat treated also.
Any suggestions for what I can make with it?

Machinist's jacks can be a nice project. My style is to machine bases and risers, then use Gr8 hex head cap screws (slightly crowned and V grooved) for the adjustable anvil.
Bought 12' (36"pieces) of anodized T-slot track for the travel stops on the power feeds I installed. Had to make new nuts, and modify the stops to work with the track. Mike
I bought this 6" Wilton C3.
It comes with the stand but I don't need that so will modify it for something else - or sell it.
I didn't buy the Kurt on the lower shelf.
A bunch of Bessey XC* spring clamps and a roll of Scotch masking tape for upholstery work Also got a pair of SOFT99 detailing brushes to clean those difficult to reach areas on my bikes.
I'm sure there's a few of these sets around. I didn't buy this one, tho. My Dad gave it to me yesterday. It was my grandfathers. (Although based on the initals, I'm wondering if it was one of his uncles before that). This was made, circa 1909. It's in very good condition, other than the leather strap is broken.
