I recently acquired a couple dozen of these in various shapes and sizes and while I consider myself fairly good with Google I cannot find any info on these things. What are they?! Markings say W & B Hercules Patented.

They look like taper gauges.

They look like taper gauges.
While they may look like it in the pic they are certainly not tapered, and the shapes on the end range anywhere from a square to a cone to what looks like a flat head screwdriver.

Might want to check them with a micrometer, a MT0 and MT1 can look straight at that length.

They are not tapered. I even have what appears to be some sort of homemade holder for them. Hopefully this pic helps.

Look above . W & B Hercules was and still is a tool and die shop out of Michigan . ;)

Punches seems plausible, but why the different size shanks, and why would you need a punch shaped like a flat blade screwdriver, and a punch with a rounded profile? What machine accepts these?
