Venison hanging

She was about 150 hanging weight, 40 # is no bad for a deer that jumped into the side of a Sandbox doing 65 MPH.......

No venison for us this year.
I spent 7 1/2 days over 2 weeks/three weekends in my blind this year.
Saw 4 deer opening day - 2 does, 2 fawns and what I believe was a small buck on the last day but wasn't 100% certain so didn't shoot.
The deer herd in central Minnesota was devastated last winter. Lots of snow and lots of cold.
So we had no antlerless permits this year.
40 lbs of deboned meat is about average here.

I missed archery and early M/L seasons this year, due to medical issues.
Our rifle season starts Sat. for 2 weeks.
PA also has antler restriction, most of the state is 3 on 1 side, out west, it is 3 up.
PA deer herd is pretty healthy.
