I recently purchased an old Ford truck and need it shipped from California to Virginia. Anybody had a vehicle shipped lately and can recommend who to use and who to stay away from?

Can’t give you any names, but can say make sure it is insured for the maximum. A family member had an old Porsche shipped from California to michigan. Luckily he insured it for 80k. The shipping company decided to change trailers part of the way, from an enclosed to an open trailer. They also put the windows down, and proceeded to drive through a thunderstorm. When he got the car, the interior was trashed, which included all the electronics. He filed a claim, and the adjuster agreed it was totaled and gave him the full 80k.

Looks like a 67-72? I used to have a 67 F100 with a 70 parts truck. I loved the 300 straight six that was in my 67.

Sorry, no clue on shipping.

It's a 72. :eagerness:
I was going to guess that was a newer grill in the series.

I couldn't handle the manual steering on my 67. I actually pulled a muscle in my chest once cranking the wheel when I didn't have room to move the truck forward or aft. I ended up putting a steering column and power steering box out of a 79. Everything just bolted right on but the turn signal wiring took a bit to get right (colors changed). I also used a brake booster out of the same 79 F350 to replace the manual brakes.

Enjoy you new truck! What engine and model (F100, F250, F350) is it?

I used Reliable to ship a car from CT to CA. I was happy with the service and communication.
