Trailer Decking

IPE wood ? That's a new one on me , is it pricey ?
 
It certainly cost more than PT but it will last much longer so I think it would be worth considering. I just built a deck with the stuff, the project engineer specified the joists to be spaced up to 34" on center! because the stuff is so strong. Indeed it is harder than any common hardwood.
 
Yes, it is one of the many species sometime called an "Ironwood". I just Google searched "Ipe trailer deck" looks like others have done it already...
 
So iron wood would out last me , and is to pricey . Looks like it's going to be pt fir with ss screws
