if only. . . . .
I can barely reach my walls for all the crap I have on every flat surface I have or create :) maybe its time to re-evaluate my priorities . . .
anyone else suffer from the messy affliction ? I didn't think so :nono:

I really admire someone that has a place for every tool they own to be hung on a wall. I do have some wall mounted stuff for my commonly used lathe tools over the lathe and I have some Mill mounted holders for collets and chucks.

I have way more tools than I have wall space. My hand tools get put into designated tool box drawers and most drawers are packed. There is no room in the drawers for those organizer doohickys. If I had to use organizers in my drawers, I'd need 3-4 more roll-away tool boxes. My tool storage is focused on compactness because of my limited work area. Specialty cases usually get tossed because they just take up too much valuable space. Drill bits have indexes, drive sockets have socket holders, but thats about as far as it goes.:))

I love the IDEA of my tools being so neat, and am pretty constantly trying. It is pretty hard when I get things close, then unpack one more box, or acquire a different machine which changes the setup. Maybe someday soon I'll have more time to be IN the shop working instead of occasionally in there to move things around!

Having said that, I wouldn't even have room for my drills that way. Jobbers length and Screw Machine length of fractional, alphabet, and number drills? Than S&D?

I like this video and the guy's setup. It just wouldn't work for my 'stuff'. Great inspiration though! I do better with lots of shallow drawers. When i get them half-way organized, I'll take pics and share it!

All that work and he didn't use a level to get it placed straight?
