Yes you do. No contest. The 5' diameter logs were exceptional. They were old growth white pine. In the beginning of the nineteenth century, old growth white pine covered more than half of Wisconsin. They were clear cut to the extent that the only stand ofold growth pines are found in a few acres in Northern Wisconsin and that because a lumber baron decided to spare them. Even at that, the the largest are only a few feet in diameter.And as for big trees, we've got the biggest here out west.
