I picked up my auction purchase today and one of the items was a set of Starrett adjustable parallels. The one pic obviously didn't show the inside. Fail....

On a better note, I did get to view an upcoming lot which is a Wilton 10 inch commercial vise. Damn....that thing is huge! They say 30 inches long! I will be bidding!

I got one of the BIG Wilton vises.....I spotted it on the mezzanine at a shop I worked at, the owner said he would sell it for 100 dollars. I snapped it up!
I found out later from some of the other employees that it had been mounted on a bench still against the wall, the bench must have weighed a ton! It must have been 10 foot long! That's when I noticed the heavy brackets tying the bench to the wall.....
The guys were clamping Bridgeport tables in the vice and it kept flipping the bench over!
I dont use mine very often but I use it on the floor! Some day I will build a stand for it.....

Try Electrolysis on those parallels. It will bubble out the rust in the pores that the chemical won't get. Sounds counter-intuitive but it works. Ken
