Finally got around to a solution for the limited portability of the bandsaw, it won't be any good for off road, much easier on the back, knees and feet now though.

Detent assembly for the Atlas. Spring keeps getting stuck/mangled and is a little short now.
Tried a second ball bearing between grub screw and spring, did not have the desired effect.
A nut and bolt for a "pin vise", a gnarly old threaded something(grub screw or bolt offcut) cleaned up and ground to fit neatly between the screw and modified spring.
No more stuck/mangled spring.

A flea market find many years ago. As acquired it was well used, dirty, in dire need of some TLC and had been dropped.
Typeface alignment was poor.
Had forgotten it was still in my possession.
Cleaned up, google hounded until the necessary information was divulged.
Adjustments made, repairs performed, modifications applied, performs better than new one.
