Tida TD4A Lathe driver motor configuration?and size and RPM ,and pulley size

Sounds like someone installed a 3450 rpm motor in it
A VFD variable frequency drive is a device used with a 3-phase motor to give variable speed among other features
Some models can also convert single phase power to 3-phase
thanks

I don't have 3 phase power at my shop unfortunatly
You run the three phase motor from a VFD which uses single phase. This provides variable speed which is really nice for a lathe.

This setup costs a little more than getting a single phase motor but well worth it IMHO. There are lots of threads on here about how to do it, can be as simple as what I’ve done and as complete as what @mksj does.
