I got rid of 1 machine this week (Cincinnati Tool Grinder) and replaced it with 15 pieces of machinery, several tool boxes, several (Many) small power tools & tons of hand tools. I can even walk through my shop still. Benny & I moved in the 20" Rockwell/Delta bandsaw, Douglas horizontal mill and the 10,000 pound 12" rotary table yesterday. I brought back a full truck load of stuff from my Dad's shop which included a Powermatic 6" jointer, 6"x4' edge sander, 10" tabletop planer, 21" scroll saw, 2 belt/disk sanders, table saw, oscillating drum sander, 5 good tool boxes, drill press, 12" bandsaw, several grinders, several routers, hundreds of router bits and plenty of misc. stuff. I have to leave Monday to go back & spend the winter with my Mom so I just hurriedly sorted through things and put them away.

You are an inveterate scrounger and packrat Charley!

Nice haul!

Charley, I'm constantly amazed at how I'm able to fit one more major machine into my shop. It was officially full several years ago. The odd thing is that, after I added the big Swede, I seem to have more open floor than I had before. Maybe, if I got a surface grinder, it would make enough extra room to section off a welding/grinding room. :lmao:

BTW, I cringe every time you post something. You seem to be a tool magnet. You generate more tool envy than anyone I know.:man:

I sectioned off a grinding area that is well lit but not fully closed in yet.

I don't think so, my posts have not gotten but a couple replies if any lately, this one was looked at 219 time with 3 replies. Seems the more non machine/machinist threads are growing like weeds though. I've seen a big deteriation of this sight in the last few months.

Chuck (aka Charley),

It IS amazing what folks comment on - like the thread about the "arc of shame".

When I originally read this post, all I could think was how bittersweet it must be for you. It's great to get new machinery but your circumstances really stink.

Oh by the way, NICE HAUL! :man:

Steve
