SystemBoard End Mill Storage System (by request from the CHMW VI Meetup)

Or, to think of it the other way... there are 12 spots in each tray;

1/8", 1/4" & 3/8" each take 1 spot
(corrected) 1/2" & 1" takes 2 spot
Hmm, according to the table in PDF you linked to, you can fit 6 of the 1" trays (Systemboard 405-1" GF) in a frame, implying that they take only 2 spots. Any of the trays larger than 1" occupy 3 spots. Am I mis-reading the table?

Sorry, I was looking at 1-1/4"! You are correct

Gentlemen, please stick to the manufacturers nomenclature as stated on the datasheet.

The datasheet specifies four different product names.
FRAMES (with bottoms)
INTERMEDIATE FRAMES (without bottoms)
INSERTS
PEGBOARDS

It only causes confusion when you call things "trays".

Questions:
Is the Intermediate Frame used only to fit on top of a Frame, to extend the the height of the sidewalls or are there other purposes?
What are the Pegboards used for/with?
I infer from the OP that all inserts cost the same, regardless of tool shank diameter. Is that correct?
I'm confident it's not rocket science but it's too bad that Rose doesn't have enough marketing savvy to show clearly how the Intermediate Frames and Pegboards are intended to be used.

Hi @extropic, I believe the pegboards are for creating compartments within the frame (with bottom) as shown in this photo from Rose's site:

I also believe the intermediate frames just offer vertical clearance between stacked loaded frames (with bottoms). However, the point is kind of moot in both cases because Skookum's site only offers frames (with bottoms) and inserts for sale, no intermediate frames or pegboards.

Sorry for adding confusion with my inaccurate terminology!

We have only ever purchased the Frames (with bottoms) and the Inserts for use in our manufacturing facility so I have no 1st hand experience with the other components, but the answer from @IStream seems reasonable. If there is a request for products other than I have listed just let me know and I'll see if I can add them to my online database.

Yes, all inserts have the same unit cost

Hope that helps!
