Storage unit Shop?

I'm moving out of my shop due to some issues with a neighbor, I rented a 10X30 storage unit for my equipment & a 4X8 for junk. I'm trying to set up the 10X30 so I can work in it. I have only one 110 outlet & a light bulb (I have 3 new 4 bulb 4' light fixtures). Thinking of getting a generator for additional power, also think I can run from the main box some more power if I promise to stay awhile (6 mos) or more. Any of you ever do this or have some ideas or advice? Pics tomorrow.

in the 90's there was a place like that in Chula Vista, CA.
all kinds of manufacturing and shops in there.
i think the sign said industrial storage or rentals.
it's probably still there.
i'd go for the power upgrade.

No chance of a gentlemans agreement with your neighbour?
The genset sounds a bit iffy. you wont be able to run it inside, and you may upset more people by running it outside.

There has to be 2 gentalmen in a gentalmens agreement ... I'm half way there

As for the generator all the other units except the 2 end ones are just storage and I've never seen anybody at those 2. The owner says a gen. would be ok. I'll just set it outside, would be nice if I could aford one of those quiet Hondas
 
I did it for a year or so. It will work (better than nothing), but it is a PITA. I didn't like listening to the generator. It wasn't quiet at all. And when I was done for the day, would run it out of fuel and wait for it to cool off before storing it again.

the running the power in is the hands down winner
i see where you know how to do it that makes it a slam dunk.
it'll pay for itself many times over every time you go to do something.

I have minimal power in mine, I also have a 40' tour bus but I want to sell it and get my cash out of it.
