I have 3 floor jacks here and i just looked at and measured the height off the floor of the casters to the mounting plate on all of them. They all seem to be around 3" to the plate, give or take 1/4".... The studs are different on every one though, they vary from 1/2" to 3/4" in diameter. My oldest jack , a Snap on, form the mid 80s is the beefiest one.
