Not sure if this is the right place for this question - but I'm looking to replace the plastic Loc-Line coolant hose/nozzle with a flexible metal one. I've tried searching around, and it could be I'm wrong on the terminology, but I'm not having much luck - except the crappy looking ones from AliBabba sites and fleabay..

Could someone point me in the right direction?

This is what I have (similar)

This is what I'm looking for:

Seems your oogle-fu is failing you a tad. A quick 20 second search has found multiple options (google & ebay).

Here is one example using the search term "flexible metal coolant hose"

and here is a go-ogle search using the same search term.

I did see that one as well - for some reason it didn't look right to me? I'll check it again.

Just needed to do a better search - I was looking for "replacement" yadda yadda.... Duh moments....:face slap:
Thanks.

@jareese

No problem buddy, we all have homer (DOH!) moments. I usually refer to them as "brain farts" ;) :laughing.

Either way, glad you got sorted. Also, btw, the same type of flexible coolant hose is used on some of the benchtop parts cleaners. I have actually jubillee clipped a rubber nozzle with a reducer in it onto one of those type hoses before now. worked well too.

Haha - I have SEVERAL! Covid messed up my head...

While you brought up the subject, why do you preffer the metal one above the plastic segment type? I would like to hear the comments from other members too just for interest sake. IMOH I think the plastic ones are better in the sense of movabilaty. One drawback is that when one segment gets a bit worn, it will not sray in place, but my solution is to locate that segment and heat it up a bit with a heatgun and that seems to work. O and you can add more length if you need to by adding more sections.

I can never seem to get the plastic one in the right position - I find it very "sticky" to adjust. I'm hoping the metal one will be smoother and easier to place where I want it.

I think you will find the metal one has it's drawbacks as well. Some hold for a short time then start creeping away.
Others always spring back.
And the worst of the batch just don't hold at all.
And of course the best of the best do what they should.

But more are not the best of the best.

Good luck, report back.
