Smithy 1220 XL Clutch Adjustment

Have not been around for a bit.
I have grown frustrates with my 1220 clutch kicking out and only getting worse.

The manual was vague and missing pictures. Smithy declined any phone support for discontinued models , but at least sent me the missing pictures.

Anyone go through this.
Looks like I need to shorten the clutxh sleeve by .065” . Fun part is I dont have a 2nd lathe to fix this one. I dont feel like filing it , lol

FWIW : My manual that came with the machine was missing a few of the pictures.
Smithy emailed the pictures but thata it. Phone support for the old machines.

With the pictures it was a bit easier. Once I figured out how they wanted you to mark the clutch sleeve and getting it apart , things went along better.
I took the sleeve to the vertical belt sander
Figured its not a critical dimension. Took off .065” and the clutch held so much better.
Did not kick out once today.
