Singer 29-4 rebuild

I restored a 29-4 several years ago. They are impressive machines, very well built and as you know quite heavy. It amazes me how many parts go into a machine like that. I used an ultrasonic cleaner on a lot of the smaller parts. Didn't worry about the old finish as it was in poor shape. Stripped it down to the casting and repainted. I found a decal set somewhere on line and it turned out very nice.

Hope you enjoy the rebuild
as much as I did, you will have a very nice machine.

Yes I am always impressed when working on this machine, it has been used and abused for over 100 years and still it was sewing before I took it apart. I don't plan on repainting the main body just some touch up on the rusty parts.
I don't have an ultrasound tank so lots of scrubbing by hand. Takes longer but I get to see each part that way.
