Sheldon 13x36 TME

Like most " Airforce brats" I was born in Texas, But Mom and Dad move back north in the early 60's when Dad went to work in the NEW industry..Computers. Been north ever since but the birthplace stuck.
 
Congratulations , nice lathe to own and use, big step up from others. I've seen worse build up on LATHES you'll love it . A past owner who regretted selling one . Kick self in butt ,reminder , do it again .

Silverbullet, thanks the mess on it is not the normal oil swarf buildup on lathes , this one has polishing compound ,scothbrite particals everywhere basically lapping compound,
it will eventually be completely disassembled cleaned ,painted , enything needing repaired will be.
It will be a long project as this place I bought needs some help to.
Although the bed ways look to be in great shape, the spindle bearings may need some help.
I'll tackle one assembly at a time till it's done.
