I was forced to leave the shop today. Had to go resolve email problems for a client who preferred to see my smiling face instead of just watching as I drove her computer from the comfort of my couch. While poking around, I saw that there had been a search on YT for "metal lathe". I asked her husband about it and he took me out and showed me a Craftsman lathe he had inherited from his father. He told me he had acquired a tool chest from a neighbor who was moving. Yada, yada.....



An 11 drawer Kennedy in much nicer shape than mine.

The biggest surprise of all was a set of collets to fit the Procunier tapping head I just bought!

I guess maybe I should get out more often.

Excellent find. I ended up having to make a couple, and they're pretty intricate with a square hole down inside them that captures the tap. I predict you're going to like the Procunier.
