rung fu clone RF-45 ZX45 cnc conversion

I was trying new things and made a build pics slideshow video
it's not perfect but has all the build pics in one video
and i messed up and put a few that didnt belong

I do like these rf-45 machines. I might have to reconsider the G0704 for the larger machine. Any idea who has the best price on these?

I think I paid 1295 for my dm + 295 shipping to Maryland. that was over two years ago. I think it was on sale though

I was torn between the two, and as Jumps said, Wholesale Tool has the best price, but whether you're out of state and have it delivered, or if you're in Florida like me and could collect it, the price comes out pretty much the same whether you pay for shipping or pay for the tax; either way it's close to $2K.
The G0704 from Grizzly is just under $1.2K for me with shipping, and for the things I'm likely to be doing I think it will have enough power.
However, the ZX45 is seriously heavy duty and represents an excellent value if you're going to need its capability. If it was $1.5K on my doorstep I could swing it, but a line has to drawn somewhere (for me at any rate).

the termites ate my steps 3 years ago, she has not been in the shop since.
i'm in no hurry to fix them.

I can understand why, and if you want to retain a deep voice and the ability to have more kids you'd better keep them that way. :rofl:
I'm sure she has no idea how much of the family fortune resides in your shop in the form of machinery! ;)

here is a practice run of g-code i'm writing to regrind my shell mill i ran into the chuck....
and a few pics of the setup. the grinding will be .0005 per pass to .003 then make 3 more passes at .003 for finish. then it goes to the next tooth.

Was it just the face of the teeth on the bottom of the bit that were damaged or were the sides hit too?

Did you write that freehand or is there a wizard in Mach3 that helps in combining the fourth axis with the x,y, and z?

Very interesting to watch whichever it was, and that digital angle gauge is a handy toy!
