Reviving a back burner project

Every belt in the shop is too big. It's Sunday so you make an "IDLER". The new mill to thae rescue again. Just scraps of Aluminum and 2 bearings. Also 1 carriage bolt (5/16 X 2) and 1 machine bolt (5/16 X 2). I will get a blade tomorrow and on to the next backed up project (P&W 1830)

Using the Biddle Gage to check the SFPM. 6 inch wheel, direct reading. 14 inch wheel, divide reading by 2.3. Reading was 600 even. Divided by 2.3 equal 260 SFPM.

Billy - Thank You for the Picture, I like it TOO MUCH!!!!! Now I want a big vertical metal band saw as my little Sears wood band saw is probably the smallest one made.

Again thank you for sharing your incredible skills with us!

Looks good Bill. I bet you're pleased to finish a long term project.

Thank you for the detailed photos and discussion.

This project would have ended a long time ago Ray. I sold my Bridgeport 2 years ago and have only just replaced it with the Clausing 8520.

NXR -- Those kind words are greatly appreciated.
