It is fun to learn more CAD. I learned a lot about how to mix up FreeCAD and Inkscape on this project. If I have trouble getting my CNC up and running, I might take you up on that offer! In that case I'd totally go for a painted one because it looks so cool.
If so, I'd cut it out by mounting it on my rotary table glued on scrap, and set inner and outer offsets to cut both sides, and then probably use the belt grinder for the ends.
