Good call. I did this 4 or 5 years ago, wife insisted on new cabinets. I said we should keep the existing ones because they're real wood and the stuff they had at Lowes was particle board. I told her those things will be puffed up from water in 6 months. I was wrong, it took a couple of years, but here we are with the puffy patches I said were inevitable.

My wife wanted to order some cabinets from Lowes, I went there and looked at them and no way that is going into our house. It’s amazing how much they charge for low quality cabinets. Particle board and plastic everywhere.
