PART 3 - The Pump (continued).

The inner cap (there are two screw caps) had a "V" shape on the back. The "V" interfered with the fit, so it was turned off to a flat surface. Here is the finished cap:

After this, the pump was reassembled.

After assembly, it was refilled with oil, primed and purged of air. Then, it was outside to mate the pump with the ram. The ram is a little sticky at the bottom of the stroke, but it should loosen up with use. I'm glad to say that there is no oil gushing out of the parts. This portapower system should now last another 30 years!
