Quill feed on my toolmaster?

Can someone please spoon feed me on working the quill feed on my Cincinnati Toolmaster? The machine is a H-V and the vertical head is a 1D. I don't know why the feed won't work for me. I have had it working so I know it CAN work. Unfortunately I can't remember HOW I did it. Looks like my hobbies are going to be taking up a lot more of my time as I got laid off effective 4/1.

I don't know the machine itself,but can you post a pic of the mechanisms. Maybe I can see something I can help with. Usually there is a pin you can pull to engage feed.
 
I think someone with the same machine would be able to help better,but on some machanes there is a pin of some kind roundabout in the front of the machines quil gearbox on the left. But hoping a person with the same machine can help. Sorry I couldn't help. Good luck my friend.
