Poor surface finish

The diamond holder looks to be about 15 degrees. It came with the grinder. It is flat almost to where it is set. Time to change out. When the new diamond and a 46 grit wheel come in I will try again. It may be some time before I have any shop time as nut harvest is just starting. When it’s harvest time every thing else comes second. Bad picture of diamond holder. When dressing I placed the holder on the magnetic chuck about at the center line of the spindle with the 15 degree leaning away from the center.

Have you tried rotating the diamond? That puts the facet’s edge as the high point and should be much improved.
