PM lathe accessories

The CME website sucks, best to use their search function:

FWIW, I have the 6" (167mm) version of their set-tru 3 jaw on my Boxford ME10 and it's an excellent value. On a prior lathe (South Bend 9A), I had one of their standard 3 jaw chucks, also Sanou, and it was excellent.

I looked on line and at CME TOOLS and I cannot find the 8" San Ou 3 jaw chuck
I see IStream posted the link. I'm not sure if they have the 8" adjustable 3-jaw packaged with a D1-4 backplate, but it's possible. You can call and ask...the guy who usually answers the phone is Gary and is very helpful. There are actually quite a few 8" chucks that are slightly over just like this one, and I've found adapter plates from other sources.

For example, Shars sells a D1-4 adapter plate meant for 8.25" set-true chucks that has the correct hub size and bolt hole spacing for the CME chuck....$109 shipped versus $132 + shipping. It's the exact same part number!

The funny thing is, that plate is cheaper if you buy it from Shar's eBay account:

I have watched more YouTube videos than I can count. I was really considering the PM 12x28 lathe but I couldn't get past the reverse lever that you need to install plus the fact you need to reverse the feed at the headstock when facing your stock off from od to center after feeding towards the headstock. That's just wrong... And yes I have to spend another $2500 to jump to the 13x40, but like you quoted, you can't take it with you.
You could try this, it wasn't to hard to do.

Thanks for sharing that video. I have watched many of those modifications already but that is the 1st one I have seen that the feed direction left and in are in the same gear.
