Old RS 232 CNC controller, Centroid. Can it be converted to Mach 3?

I was assuming I would not be able to use the RS 232 for program data. Looks like I might be able to. The unit presents as if fully functioning

Can I just use one of these USB to RS 232 boxes to input the CNC G code?

It is marked Centroid so I would just out the post as Centroid and transfer it with the USB stick right?
