How about latex surgical gloves? Is there any danger inherent in wearing these? If they somehow became "caught" I would think that they would rip right off but I'll take experience over theory any day so what are your opinions?

Good to hear. I've done enough damage to my hands over the years and who knows what kind of chemical concentrations I've already built up in my body, and most important, the clean up is easier. ;)

I wear latex gloves while cleaning up recycled dollars my Labrador and Golden Retrievers leave in my yard before I mow... I use nitrile gloves when working with chemicals. So far I haven't had any of the products I use leech through them. Most of the time I snag or tear them on a sharp edge or corner long before any chemicals have an effect.

Same here, many times I have gotten small cuts/tears in them and when I go to take them off I find my hands are covered in oil/chemicals/grunge anyway but they still are better than nothing at all.

I don't recommend working with chemicals without protection. That is just asking for problems later in life.

I keep a supply of both types of gloves in my shop. Harbor Freight sells them at what I consider a reasonable price.
