Need help with Y-axis taper gib

I know this is an old thread, but I just wanted to say thank you. I just received my PM-30MV-HS and was having the exact same problem. loosened the bolts for the stand just enough so the washers were loose, and the problem with the gib went away.

I'm going to have to figure out how to get my stand more level / stable / something. I suspect my garage floor isn't helping the problem.
