Well here's what we (Son Les and I) came up with, well more his idea than mine!
An aluminum spacer and an extension for the shaft and knob lever adaptor
Was a piece of cake turning the extension and the knob and adaptor were re-used.
Places the knob in about the same location as the original SB was installed and no new holes were drilled in the cabinet.
Still waiting on the electrician to run the 220 to the back of the cabinet.
Tempted to just wire the 110 and forget the 120 as there is an outlet right where the machine will sit.
