The secret to the longevity of REAL coolant pumps is that there are no bearings or seals below liquid level, the (above water level motors provide the bearings that support the impeller. I wonder if a pump intended for service in swamp coolers might "fill the bill" for small surface grinders? I use one on my lathe, I think it came from Grainger.
