Hey all,

I've gone through two Little Giant, pumps. It seems they last about a year.
I can't afford to be cheap anymore. :)

These little pumps are designed for fish tanks and small water features. Not for oily water and crud.

What are you using for your mill, lathe, band saw or surface grinder?

I made this tank a few years ago. The dimensions are;

20" long
12" wide
18" high

Thanks for your advice.

Edit: Are these any good?

Gusher makes some great pumps Jeff , but they're not cheap . I've run them in lathes , mills , saws and grinders but can no longer afford them .

My Parker Majestic came with a factory tank and a Gusher (99.99% sure that was the brand) fractional hp, single phase pump. Even though the pump was over 50 years old at the time it worked flawlessly, and was almost completely silent.

Found a pic of the pump!
I was mistaken, it was 3-phase.

Oh good, I'm not losing my mind. I remembered you making that tank and buying a new pump seemed like not that long ago. Just looking for a better pump. With larger pumps they make "trash pumps" to handle dirty water, certainly there must be something similar in micro sizes.

It seems like I’m gonna have to spend $300 and up.
Even the Jet brand pump on my 712 band saw is $300 delivered.
I think that’s a Taiwan made brand.

Jeff, what's going on the pump?
The larger little giant pumps are great pumps. Solid.

I have 2 of these. Unfortunately I destroyed one... my fault, was going to rebuild it, and lost some of the parts, and let the oil out all over the place.
But these will handle a lot... or go dedicated like above.

BTW for the VMC-1 prices vary by a lot. I see $243 https://www.travers.com/product/little-giant-vmc-1-electric-pump-85-525-001 w/o a tank it looks.
to $274 with a tank, https://westechequipment.com/product/560612-vmc-1-machine-tool-coolant-pump

and then LMS is raping you at $359 on sale 384 normally.

down to $211 at https://www.pumpagents.com/LittleGiantPumps/560612.html

But do your due diligence when contacting pumpagents.. I don't know them.
