Tony,
I'm going to have to steal your sig. I had a foot of colon removed about 4 weeks ago so the "some parts missing" definitely applies. No cancer, just old rotten plumbing. The Doc said I had about 5 feet left so I wouldn't miss it and it reduce my chances of further colon trouble by about 20% due to the fact that I had that much less to have trouble with. I seem to be on the mend... or otherwise I wouldn't be in my shop 10 or 15 hours a day trying to make old iron better than new.

Great job on that lathe and conversion. Seems like you have a darn good handle on things and it's nice to hear/see a success story.
-Take care of those guts and when you're up for it, show some pics of stuff you make on the new/old lathe.
