In the experiments I ran with mine I found a strong directed flow into the hole being burnt worked faster.
All the crud got flushed out instantly.
Also if using kero as the fluid then it MUST totally submerge the arc else it will catch fire (dont ask me how I know)
I found no difference in speed or quality of the burn with either water or kero.
