Thanks for the compliment David, but I hardly ever think things out properly. I start with an idea and it always seems to get altered because I either hit a roadblock or I make a mistake. Usually something evolves workable and functional.

Nice work and good job on the explanation and photos. It takes a lot of effort do do custom mods and document everything you do, that's for sure.

Hello I just bought a US Burke MVI like yours! I'm glad you posted this! I want to do the same or similiar. I tried half heartedly to remove the cover to see if I could remove the original pointer and fabricate a new one instead of drilling a hole in the original. The bolts come out and the cover is loose, but it won't come of. I just found the manual here so I can look to see what might be keeping it from coming off.
